After watching all the films nominated for the Oscars 2011, I felt the urge to draw some realistic pictures of my favourite movies. One of them was Black Swan, an intriguing and psychotic work of art. The Oscar-winning performance of Natalie Portman is beyond words, one of the most powerful in the cinema History (well, that's my opinion

).
To practise realistic drawings, I chose a promotional image from the film [link] , with Natalie dancing, adding two black wings on her back. I started with the skin, adding shadows, and then, the opposite with the dress: from the black background, I added the brighter details. It was funny to do, in three sessions. I'm happy with the picture because it transmits an elegant dynamism, and a great contrast between the dark and bright zones.

Oh, and it isn't a paintover.

Después de ver todas las películas nominadas a los Oscar 2011, sentí la necesidad de hacer algún dibujo realista de mis películas favoritas. Una de ellas fue Cisne Negro, una verdadera obra de arte, intrigante y psicótica. Faltan palabras para describir la actuación de Natalie Portman, ganadora del Oscar, en uno de los papeles más impactantes de la historia del cine (bueno, esa es mi opinión

Para seguir practicando con dibujos realistas, elegí una imagen promocional de la película [link] , con Natalie bailando, y le añadí dos alas negras en la espalda. Empecé con la piel, añadiendole sombras y, a continuación, lo contrario con el vestido: desde el fondo negro, fui añadiendo los detalles más brillantes. Fue muy divertido de hacer, en tres sesiones. Estoy contento con la imagen, ya que transmite un dinamismo elegante, y un gran contraste entre las zonas claras y las oscuras.
