Description
My entry for something like a Mythology/Fantasy Creatures mini-expo, where I expose along with these other artists:
I thought originaly of a mythologic creature from my birthplace, the "espumeru", but later I realized it lacks some specific details, so my drawing is a more generic version of a sea creature.
It was done directly with Paint Tool SAI, without sketchlines, only using color brushstrokes, and gradually adding the details. I tried to improve with the lightning.
I'm not sure with the result, but hey, I like the bubbles!

Overall Vision Originality
Technique ImpactI love this piece because of many things. Among them, the most importants are the colors, the lights, and the fact that the creature looks really alien and original.
It is not that easy to find things that could be improved, but I have some ideas :
- the left eye of the creature (i.e. on the right of the image), is too low compared to the other eye compared to the "horizontal" line given by the mouth
- I would have prefered a hair more even between the left and the right
- I cannot see the pupils and this disturbs me
- why doesn't it has nostrils ? fishes do have nostrils (I won't complain about gills, it's obvious why we cannot see them)
Overall its an excellent picture.
